So in the second episode of the office Jim loses his biggest sale of the year to Dwight because of Michael; also, during this day, Jim talks to Ryan about how Pam is engaged, but admits he thinks she’s cute. At the end of the day they have this big meeting and Pam falls asleep on Jim’s shoulder. Everybody leaves but he stays there so she won’t wake up. When she wakes up, she leaves and it’s just so clear how much Jim wants her, but he knows it’s not going to happen.
At the very end of the episode, Jim says to the camera: “not a bad day. Not a bad day at all.” even though he lost that huge sale and the girl he loves is engaged, because he got to share that tiny moment with her, he’s happy.
